SIPquest extends market leadership to Converged Multimedia Client market

Ottawa, Canada - June 3, 2005 - SIPquest, a leading developer of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) software, today announced an evolution of its product strategy with a complete line of Converged Multimedia Clients that will enable the delivery of next-generation, personalized services made possible by convergence and fueled by the adoption of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture.

SIPquest has turned its formidable SIP-based software expertise to the development of pre-IMS and IMS Converged Multimedia Client software designed to meet the fixed and mobile client needs of Service Providers and Equipment Vendors. The SIPquest Converged Multimedia Clients consolidate the user experience across devices and networks to enable the delivery of rich multimedia services.

• The SIPquest Dual Mode Client addresses Fixed Mobile Convergence in two phases with the initial product consisting of co-resident client for GSM and WiFi multimedia communication sessions. The second phase allows for multimedia sessions with full GSM/WiFi handoff and single number convergence.
• The SIPquest IMS Client manages IP multimedia sessions over IMS packet switched networks. End-users quickly access capabilities such as Location, Presence, IM, Click-to-call, address book, and advanced calling features.
• With less than 10ms latency, the SIPquest VoWiFi Fast Handover technology delivers virtually undetectable handovers and excellent VoIP quality.
