SIPquest Wins GLOBALCOMMT 2006 Award of Excellence

Mobile Console Awarded in Wireless/Mobile/Network Services Category;
Will Be Demonstrated in Booth #39020

May 16, 2006 – Ottawa – SIPquest, an innovator in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technologies and the leading provider of mobile VoIP software for enterprise use, today announced it has been honored by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) with a 2006 GLOBALCOMM™ Award of Excellence.

SIPquest was named Runner-Up for its SIPquest Mobile Console solution in the Wireless/Mobile/Network Services category. Mobile Console is being demonstrated at Booth #39020 at GLOBALCOMM™ 2006.

GLOBALCOMM™, which is produced and managed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, June 4 - 8.

Recipients of the GLOBALCOMM™ Award of Excellence are selected as the best of the best in creating the most promising new technologies and delivering the best new network services, strategic support and customer care. The Awards of Excellence program recognizes the winning companies’ contribution to advancement and excellence in the world of communications. Entries were reviewed and judged by a carefully selected team of experts and industry influencers.

“Competition for GLOBALCOMM’s Awards of Excellence was fierce and the winners and runners-up are among the top technology and service providers in the ICT industry,” said TIA President Matt Flanigan. “SIPquest should be commended for its leadership, innovation and role in driving our industry forward.”

GLOBALCOMM™ Award of Excellence nominations were accepted based on the following criteria:

• Companies must have a presence at GLOBALCOMM™ 2006, either through their own booth or that of a partner.
• Nominated service providers or enterprise organizations must have put their services or operations into commercial use during the previous calendar year (2005).
• Vendors or suppliers who submitted an award nomination for new technologies and products are required to release their products to the market between September 1, 2005 and July 1, 2006.
