FirstHand Mobile Console UC: Single Mode Edition

FirstHand Mobile Console UC: Single Mode Edition is client software for smartphones that, combined with the FirstHand Enterprise Mobility Gateway UC, tears down the communication silo by unifying your mobile devices over the cellular network with your enterprise communications infrastructure.

Designed for RIM Blackberry, Symbian OS smartphones, and Windows Mobile® 5 and Windows Mobile® 6 operating systems, the Mobile Console UC: Single Mode client software integrates with leading IP PBXs to extend their enterprise features like presence status, Instant Messaging, and corporate global directory lookup with click to call.

Key Features*

  • Simultaneous Ring
When someone calls your office extension, your mobile device will ring.
  • Single Number Reach
Customers, colleagues can reach you anytime, anywhere at one phone number, your office extension or DID number.
  • One Voice Mailbox
All voicemails are now stored in one location, meaning you only have to check one voice mailbox to listen to all messages.
  • Presence Status
Check the presence and availability of co-workers from your mobile device. Change your own status to Connected, Away, Out to Lunch, Be Right Back, Unavailable.
  • Instant Messaging
IM with colleagues one-to-one or one-to-many with a Group IM to collaborate on an issue, find out if they are available for a phone call, etc.
  • Group Call
Invite several people into a group call at anytime from your mobile device.
  • Corporate Directory Access
Easily sort through your corporate directory to find someone's extension to call them
  • Click-to-Call

Benefits to End User

  • More time and opportunities to be productive
As Mobile Assistant is integrated with your communications infrastructure, you'll be more responsive to voice mails as you can see at a glance whether you have a message waiting. Use your cellular network to take/make calls away from your desk. Only one voice mailbox means you don't waste time checking several mailboxes for customer voicemails. Click-to-call someone from your Buddy List and keep your productivity levels high from any where at any time.
  • Faster customer responsiveness
With simultaneous ring and single-number reach, customers will quickly learn that they can talk with you when they need to and will not be stuck as often in voice mail limbo. And when they do leave a message, you'll be notified immediately on your mobile device that is always with you.

Benefits to Enterprise

  • Publish one phone number on business cards
As customers only need one phone number to reach your employees, mobile or not, you only need to publish one phone number on business cards. Now customers won't be confused which phone number to call.
  • Access to the Enterprise Dial plan
Call origination using the Enterprise network reduces long distance costs.
  • Supported on a wide variety of smartphones
As new devices are made publicly available, FirstHand Technologies ensures that they are supported.
  • Enables stronger regulatory compliance
Because all calls originate at your IP PBX /IP Centrex, you retain internally all call logs, voice mails, and call activity records.
  • Phone number stays with the Enterprise
When you experience turnover in your sales team, your customers will continue to call your organization's sales line, not someone's cell phone who's moved on.
